Hi, I'm Zac / The Launch Pad Network...
Hey there, I’m Zac Aubert; the founder and CEO of The Launch Pad Network, a space news and education organization. With a lifelong passion for NASA, spaceflight, and the future of humanity in space, I’ve built a network and platform that informs and inspires people of all ages from around the world.
As the Executive Director of TLP Network Inc., I lead an incredible team of volunteer RocketChasers (Photographers/Videographers), Journalists, Researchers, Writers, and Moderators from around the world that together help us produce live launch coverage, space news updates, educational videos, and exclusive interviews with influential space figures like Astronauts, aerospace industry CEO’s and executives and more!
I started TLP in Jan 2021 as a hobby while I worked part time at Apple; in April 2022 after passing 60k subscribers I quit my job and went full time into TLP and by November we surpassed 100k subscribers. Now here we are the beginning of 2025 and have just passed 560k subscribers.
I’ve had the privilege of traveling to over 19 countries and being involved in global humanitarian and trade work in 6 countries.
With World Vision, I served as a youth ambassador and participated in local, national and international initiatives aimed at addressing global social issues. In 2014, I represented Canada at the World Vision World Cup in Brazil, an incredible experience that brought together youth from around the world to develop a letter to the UN addressing critical issues such as child labor, abuse, malnutrition, and the lack of economic opportunities affecting children in Brazil. Through this initiative, I participated in speaking engagements, organized events, and took part in media interviews to advocate for these causes and raise awareness.
In 2015, my involvement with World Vision expanded to Nicaragua, where I spent two weeks working in a sponsor children community, witnessing firsthand the challenges and successes of their efforts. I also had the privilege of being part of the global launch team for the “Hungerfree” campaign, a global initiative focused on ending world hunger which in 2016 took my to Kenya for 2 weeks.
I’ve also had the privilege to represent my city province (state) and country with Global Vision’s Junior Team Canada (JTC) program on the national and international stage. Global Vision selects young Canadian leaders to represent the country on international trade and development missions. In 2015, I was deployed on a JTC trade mission to China, where I promoted Canadian industry and culture in one of the world’s largest economies. During the mission, I engaged with local businesses, government officials, and educational institutions, building relationships to foster trade opportunities and cultural exchange. Representing Canadian companies and institutions was an incredible opportunity to learn about global business practices and develop my leadership, negotiation, and networking skills.
Both my work with World Vision and Global Vision have had a lasting impact on me, shaping my commitment to advocacy, leadership, and making a difference both locally and globally. These experiences taught me the importance of collaboration, cultural understanding, and the power of youth in driving meaningful change. I was born and mostly raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; spending many winters in Southern California. I am currently living on the Space Coast in Florida and this is just a bit of my story.
