I am an author, coder, construction project supervisor/inspector on state highway projects, and founder of the Independent Creator Directory. I created this site so that independent creators would have a place to have their various works listed in the event of social media failure. It also gives the opportunity for them to promote other independent creators that they know or have worked with.

Tales of the Highway

Tales of the Highway is a series of short stories from various road construction projects that I worked on from 2010 to 2014 and also some of the adventures that were had while plowing snow on the highways and interstates. The events told are all things that have actually happened on these projects and while plowing snow. I wish I could say that they are made up, but this will give you a glimpse of what we see working the roadways, at least in Northern Indiana.

Concrete Testing

The Concrete Testing app is an app I made to be able to perform the math for the IC-652 form that INDOT (Indiana Department of Transportation) uses.

This app will allow you to email the results for entering later on.

This app has only been tested for use in the State of Indiana, but if your local DOT uses the same methods for concrete testing, then this app can also help you in the field.

Water Cementitious Ratio

The Water Cementitious (W/C) Ratio app allows you to perform the math when running this particular test.

After entering all fields, you are able to email the results for later use.

HMA Random Sampling

The HMA Random Sampling app allows you to generate the random sample tonnage for Base, Open Grade, Intermediate, and Surface asphalt samples.

The fields included in this will allow you to also fill out the CLN/PLN, the DMF/JMF of the mix, and the contract and DES that corresponds with. Once filled out, you can email yourself the information for safe keeping.

Moisture Content of Soil & Aggregate

The Moisture Content of Soil & Aggregate app allows you to put in the numbers from cooking out the moisture of the sample to determine the percentage of water that was in the original sample. These results can then be emailed for later use.

BSR (Big Stompy Robot) Lob & Pew Calculator is a free app the goes along with the tabletop tactics game by Nicholas Anthony Tockert II, Big Stompy Robots.

You can use this app with the “Quick Play” edition of the game or the “Full” edition of the game.
